We’ve been reviewing our upcoming projects and listening to what our Atlanta-area clients desire for their home remodeling projects. And we’ve clocked quite a few trending projects and details that are resonating with lots of people. Take a look to see if they spark any ideas for your own remodeling plans.
2025 Home Remodeling Trend #1: Beautiful Home Gyms
Perhaps working out with the weight bench in the hot garage or the treadmill in the unfinished basement during the pandemic. We can’t say for sure, but our clients want to add home gyms with elevated style.
With wellness at home on trend, it only makes sense that your workout space be one that makes you feel good. Clients want attractive flooring, benches, natural light, storage, wall mirrors and media systems when outfitting their home gyms. They want Zen-like spaces for practicing yoga and meditation. Spots for barres and pilates equipment are also trending.
2025 Home Remodeling Trend #2: Bespoke Laundry Rooms
For so many years, laundry rooms were spaces for performing utilitarian tasks. And this made the work feel like drudgery. No more! Laundry rooms this year will have beautiful finishes like wallpaper, drapes, stone countertops, beautiful light fixtures, window treatments and custom cabinetry.
Functionally, our clients like laundry rooms to be multifunctional. They may add home workspace, craft or present-wrapping stations or crate space for the dog. Of course, laundry elements such as folding counters, built-in ironing boards, sinks for hand-washing and drying racks are also trending.
2025 Home Remodeling Trend #3: Aging-In-Place Strategies
Many of our clients want to remodel their homes to ensure they can be their forever homes. Planning for years when stairs, shower curbs and narrow doorways may not work for you anymore is prudent if you want to age in place. If you’re not ready for things like grab bars in the shower, we can block behind the walls so that they can be added if and when they are needed.
2025 Home Remodeling Trend #4: Wowing Wallpapers
Wallpapers continue to trend, particularly in spaces like jewel box powder rooms. And we’re finding that while some clients like more quiet patterns or natural wallcoverings like grasscloth, others are going very bold. There’s certainly a wallpaper for everyone.
2025 Home Remodeling Trend #5: Enhancing Outdoor Spaces
With overall wellness trending, homeowners want to get more fresh air and vitamin D from sunlight. And there’s no easier way to do that than by having inviting outdoor spaces at home. Popular landscape elements beyond a patio, porch or pavilion our clients want include:
- A welcoming fire pit
- A cutting and kitchen gardens
- Fountains that provide calming bubbling or splashes to drown out city noise
- A TV for catching a Georgia or Georgia Tech game with friends

2025 Home Remodeling Trend #6 An Outdoor Kitchen
This request is so common it deserves a category of it’s own! Trends within this trend lately include wood fire pizza grills and Gaucho grills for some serious South American grill gatherings. Other outdoor kitchen elements include sinks, ceramic grills, gas grills, burners, icemakers and even dishwashers.

2025 Home Remodeling Trend #7: Three-Season Rooms
Of course in Georgia, “where the state bird is the mosquito,” many of our clients want screened-in areas. These are not your grandpa’s porch, love it as we do. Today’s screened-in porches include creature comforts like upholstered furniture, outdoor rugs, fireplaces, TVs, sound systems, ceiling fans and heaters.
2025 Home Remodeling Trend #8: Home Bars
Home bars a great for brewing coffee, uncorking champagne or mixing up a fabulous mocktail. They can provide storage space, a place to prep, fridges, wine fridges, icemakers, sinks and more.
Of course, we like to make a home bar as beautiful as possible. And we love when it reflects our clients’ personalities. For example, this one has a mirrored backsplash, undercabinet lighting, glass cabinet doors with fretwork and marble countertops.
